Patek Philippe's World Timers, a popular watch complication, have a rich history of nearly 80 years. Louis Cottier, a renowned watchmaker, played a crucial role in their development. In the 1930s, Cottier created mechanisms that displayed the time across 24 time zones on a single dial. His innovative work extended to prestigious clients like Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Rolex. In 1950, Cottier introduced the first World Timer with two crowns, allowing to change the reference city while traveling. This practical feature inspired Patek Philippe's iconic 2523 series, produced from 1953 onward.

In 2000, Patek Philippe brought back World Time watches with the launch of the reference 5110. Instead of the second crown at 9 o’clock, a wide pusher was incorporated into Reference 5110 at the 10 o’clock position. Serving the same purpose as the crown, this pusher enables the wearer to adjust the local time, moving one timezone forward with each push.

This World Timer features a 37mm Case in Rose Gold. It was the first World Timer to feature crown guards. The inner dial features a stunning swirling guilloché pattern inspired by the guilloché dial reference 2523 watches.
