Introducing the Omega Constellation 168.0065, a true masterpiece of vintage design and precision from the 1970s. This watch is part of the esteemed Constellation family, first launched in 1952. Each watch from this line showcases a unique emblem on the case back, depicting an observatory under the stars. The eight stars on this emblem aren't just for show—they commemorate Omega's two world records in chronometer precision and six top placements in the observatory trials between 1933 and 1952, marking a significant era where Omega set a new standard in watchmaking by introducing a line dedicated solely to chronometers.

The design of the Omega Constellation series is nothing short of exceptional, with each piece featuring superb craftsmanship. This particular model is especially sought-after for its iconic "Pie Pan" dial, a distinctive feature that adds depth and character. The watch's face is adorned with the "OMEGA" inscription uniquely positioned at 6 o'clock, unlike the more common placement below the Omega logo at 12 o'clock. This "inverted Omega" variant stands out as a rarer find.

Aesthetically, the watch features pristine, untouched dials, complemented by sleek dauphine hands with black onyx inlays, enhancing its sophisticated look. The date display is located at 3 o'clock with a quick-set function, surrounded by hour markers also featuring black onyx inlays.

The stainless steel case measures 34mm in diameter and boasts an unpolished, authentic vintage appearance. The lugs have an exotic shape that contributes to the overall elegant vintage aesthetic. Accompanying the watch is a aftermarket stainless steel bracelet, providing a lightweight and comfortable fit. The Omega Constellation is powered by the Chronometer-rated Caliber 1011, an automatic movement featuring a date quick-set and a hacking seconds function.

Vintage Omega Constellation watches are highly prized among collectors, affectionately known as "Connies." This Omega Constellation 168.0065 is undoubtedly one of the finest examples available on the market today, offering both history and luxury to its wearer at an affordable price.
